Spice Mobility is planning to launch its Android tablet DroidPad MI700 and MI410 smartphone on Diwali in India. Company has not disclosed the pricing of both products right now.
According to Spice Mobility’’s Vice President (Marketing) Naveen Paul, “The Android market is still a very small market in India, but is growing. We are still studying the market for the pricing and the product requirements. We will launch more devices on the Android platform.”
Spice currently sells its entry level Android smartphone MI300 in India for Rs 9000, which recently got the Android 2.1 update.
Talking about the Android tablet DroidPad MI700, it comes with the latest Android 2.2, 7-inch 16M TFT capacitive touch screen, with a resolution of 800 X 480, Qualcomm MSM 7227 chipset 700 Mhz processor, 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM, 3-megapixel camera, sim card slot, 3240mAh Li-Polymer battery, GSM/EDGE/UMTS (3G)/HSDPA (3.5G) networks support, Wi-Fi (803.11 b/g) capability, Android Market, and ful set of Google applications.
Coming to Spice MI410, which is a high end Android smartphone. It will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 4.1 inch display and Android 2.1.
