BMW Motorcycles in India Market

BMW AG said it will start selling its motorcycle models in India by December through three dealerships.

The company plans to sell models under its R and K series, and also the S 1000 RR superbike, it said, without revealing their price.

BMW has appointed a dealer each in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to start sales of motorcycles, which will be imported from its factory in Berlin, the company added.

Hendrik von Kuenheim, general director of BMW’s motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, said the company is confident of establishing itself in the growing market for premium motorcycles in India.
