No One Killed Jessica is an upcoming Hindi film starring Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan, produced by UTV Spotboy and directed by Rajkumar Gupta. The film will have music by Amit Trivedi. Vidya Balan plays the character of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, Rani is set to play a reporter.

The political thriller, set in New Delhi, was believed to be based on the controversial Jessica Lal murder case. However, later, the director clarified that the title and the script are actually inspired by a headline carried out by The Times Of India in 2006, when the accused in the infamous murder case were acquitted by the lower courts, leading to nationwide protests, reopening of the case and subsequent sentencing of the accused.

The soundtrack has been composed by National award-winning composer Amit Trivedi. The lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Cinematography to Anay Goswami and editing by Aarti Bajaj.

Film is expected to be release on January 7, 2011.
