In a private function held at the bride’s home on Thursday morning (February 10th 2011), director Selvaraghavan got engaged to Geethanjali.
Geetanjali is the daughter of Advocate General of Tamil Nadu P S Raman & Padmini Raman. She had worked as an associate of Selva. The couple looked stunning and the ambience was classy with the mandap decorated with lotus buds and white lilies.
At the engagement ceremony, it was announced that the marriage ceremony will be held on July 3, 2011 at Hotel Le Meredian.
The rituals were conducted in traditional manner and the guest list was limited to only close family members and friends. Among the invitees were Rajinikanth, who is also related to the family – Selva’s brother actor Dhanush is married to the Superstar’s daughter Aishwarya.
Actors Kamal Haasan, Venkatesh, Rana Duggabati, Reema Sen along with Soundarya and her husband Ashwin, Abbas and Erum Ali, Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini, Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Ramji, Alagarperumal, producer G Dhananjayan, Ram Kumar and others were spotted at the engagement party.
Dum Maro Dum is a, 2011 Hindi film planned for release on 22nd of April. Dum Maaro Dum is directed by Rohan Sippy, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati and Bipasha Basu. Movie features Deepika Padukone in an item song touted to much hotter than Katrina’s Sheela Khi Jawani.
The movie title is one of the bollywood’s super duper hit movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna’s “Dum Maro Dum” (song) composed by R. D. Burman and sung by Asha Bhosle, and this movie was release during 1971.
Deepika Padukone will sizzle the screen for Dum Maro Dum remix song. She recently shot for a remix of the title track that has her flaunting a tattoo of a cobra on her torso. The song has racy lyrics and is touted to be one of the biggest attractions of the film. Reveals a source, “The song is explosive and bold, with really unimaginable lyrics.
The theme of the track has several references to sex and drugs. Initially, Deepika was hesitant given the nature of the lyrics and the inherent innuendo. But after some convincing and seeing the creative visuals for the song she decided to make sure it looked super hot.
Part of the preparation included getting a tattoo with the words ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and the image of a King Cobra.”
She has become one of the most wanted actresses in Kollywood. Her name is now a mantra for all the leading stars. With just a few films she made great impression in the hearts of Tamil audiences. Prithviraj’s charming looks and fantabulous performance always wins him incredible praises in Tamil Nadu even with his dubbed movies. It is worth recalling that his yesteryear Malayalam movies that were dubbed in Tamil turned to best hits that includes ‘Siva Puram’ and ‘ATM Thirudan’. The actor’s recent Malayalam release ‘Anwar’ will be released in Tamil with the same title with plans going on to release it on February 25.
Since the film has more familiar brands of Tamil Cinema, the producers have felt that it will work out at best. Mamta Mohandas stars opposite Prithviraj in female lead with Prakash Raj, Lal, Sampath and Geetha taking on prominent characters in this movie.
The film won best credits for the sensitive theme as it deals with terrorism affecting the lives of ordinary men and women. The musical score by Gopi Sundar proved to good hits while cinematography by Satish is appreciable.
The film is directed by Amal Neerath, a former associate of Ram Gopal Varma. One of the best highlights of this movie is 5 bomb blast sequences shot in a stunning way.
