Produced on the celebrated banner of Sun Pictures , directed by imaginative Director Shankar with All Over World Super Star Rajanikanth as hero and beauty queen Aishwarya rai as heroine, the big budget Scientific message-oriented film ‘Endhiran the Robot’ had successfully completed 100 days in 200 theatres across the world.
The Endhiran Movie was released on October 1st with 2250 prints in worldwide, along with its dubbed versions: Robot in Hindi and Robo in Telugu. The film was released more than 500 theatres in Tamil Nadu alone and it completed 100 days in 175 theatres, particularly Endhiran Movie completed 100 days in 15 theatres in Chennai.
Even today there was about 80 to 90 percent collection on normal days and houseful collections during the weekends. The film’s story revolves around a scientist’s struggle to control his creation, an android robot whose program was upgraded to give it the ability to comprehend and generate human emotions.
The film’s background score and soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. Srinivasan VFX and Peter Haynes’ action choreography also helped in the success of the movie. Endhiran (Robot in Hindi) has broken all previous box-office records for the opening weekend for any film in India.
