Storyline
Former cop Brian O’Conner partners with ex-con Dom Toretto on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey. before someone else runs them down first.

Chief Minister M Karnunanidhi released the book Aayiram Paadalgal, a collection of 1,000 poems by poet Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu.
Top two stars of Kollywood Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, Oscar winner A.R Rahman, Director Shankar, Vadivelu along with industry veterans like K Balachandar, M.S Viswanathan, and Vali presented at the event. All the Kollywood stars and singers, Music Directors were made their presence to the event.

Storyline
Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world-Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent’s fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed.
Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he’s settled for a life of wizard’s weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious’ bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux),the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off.
Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel(Natalie Portman)- an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own- the brothers must vanquish horrific creatures and traitorous knights before they can reach Belladonna. If Thandeous can find his inner hero, he can help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. Stay a slacker, and not only does he die a coward, he gets front row seats to the dawn of an all-new Dark Ages.

It is a Happy news for Tennis fans where Year 2011 starts with India’s Biggest International Tennis Event (Aircel Chennai Open 2011) where top ranked Tennis players like Swede Robin Soderling,Marin Cilic, Janko Tipsarevic, Somdev Devarman (runner-up last year) and Stanislas Wawrinka are in action. A Week Long event starts on 3rd January and ends on 9th January 2011. The Games are played at the SDAT Tennis Stadium, Lake Area, Nungambakkam, Chennai, South India.

The audio launch of Gautham Menon’s ‘Veppam’ happened yesterday (31st December 2010) in Chennai. Veppam is one of the most anticipated films of 2011. It is also the first full fledged production of Gautham Menon under his Photon Kathaas.
At the music launch today music composer Joshua Sridhar of ‘Kadhal’ fame was the hero. Joshua is surfacing with some good music after a while. Na. Muthukumar has written the lyrics.
The event was attended by Gautam Menon, Anjana, Suhasini Maniratnam, Lingusamy, Dharani, Parthipan, N.Muthukumar, Poornima Bhagiyaraj, Omprakash, Nazer, Vivek, Sasi, Balajisakivel, Ravi,Nithya, Joshua Sridhar and others.
Four songs from the film were performed live on stage. Two songs and trailler of the film were also screened for the audience..
Veppam is a raw film that will put on show Chennai in a different light. It is written and directed by Gautham’s former assistant Anjana. Nani, Karthik Kumar, Bindu Madhavi and Nithya Menon are playing the lead roles.
