Driverless vehicles in future
Scientists in Germany are conducting experiments that may lead to driverless vehicles and in a few decades transport might be possible without the need for human oversight behind the steering wheel.
Tinosch Ganjineh has a vision of a country full of taxis. Ganjineh is a researcher at Berlin’s Free University and he believes that some time in the future individual modes of transport will become a thing of the past.
If Ganjineh is correct a publicly owned fleet of vehicles will exist which everyone has access to. Those vehicles will not require the skills of a human driver.
It sounds like pure science fiction but it is founded on some solid research. A car stands in Ganjineh’s laboratory that in 30 years time could be a model for a driverless taxi.
For the moment, however, the car must have a back-up human driver on board who can take control if something does not go according to plan.

Storyline
Nagavalli is the remake of Chandramukhi. This movie is all about the story of Nagavalli. A family in Mysore is disturbed by an ancient painting of Nagavalli. The members of the family Saraswathi (Anushka), Neetha (Poonam Kaur) and Gowri (Kamalini) are psychologically affected by the presence of this painting and things have not been going too well in the house.
They decide to contact Ramchandra Acharya (Venkatesh), a magician. Acharya takes the help of Dr Vijay (Venkatesh second role), a psychiatrist, to solve the problem. All directions point to the huge portrait of Nagavalli (Vimala Raman) and it is observed that the portrait is the cause for this.
The investigation also takes back to around 125 years when the king Vijayarajendra Bahaddur (Venkatesh) used to live and how his enmity with Nagavalli has been going on since centuries. What happens later forms the rest of the story.
Music director Harris Jayraj was felicitated by Laya media on Sunday (26th Dec 2010) held in Chennai. Films stars, directors, singers and top guns of Kollywood were present at the event. The celebrities who were spotted at the event are Director Shankar, Murugadoss, Gautham Menon, Suriya, Karthi, Prabhu Deva , Charu Hassan, Sathyaraj and Vinay.
Directors like Shankar, Gautham Menon and AR Murgadoss who had churned out many hits with him were present on the occasion.
Gautham said at the function: “He has given me 30 songs, and I admire his acumen in slotting the songs according to the situation.”
Added Shankar: “He is one of the few music directors who dared to experiment within the format. He is hard working at the same time choosy.”
All leading singers like Harish Raghavendra, Mahati, Saindavi, Naresh Iyer and Krish sang their hit numbers with composer.

Computer giant Apple, is working on a next generation 3D technology for TV and movies that does away with its biggest problem – 3D glasses.
Most current 3D technologies require viewers to wear glasses that allow the right and left eye to see slightly different images to produce the illusion of depth on the screen.
The Apple system relies upon a special screen that is dotted with tiny pixel-sized domes that deflect images taken from slightly different angles into the right and left eye of the viewer, reports the Telegraph.
By presenting images taken from slightly different angles to the right and left eye, this creates a stereoscopic image that the brain interprets as three-dimensional.
A patent recently granted to Apple, however, has now sparked speculation that it may even go further than 3D domain by offering the chance for holographic films.
But holographic movies would require new filming techniques, different from the one currently used by the movie industry to ensure actors are filmed from multiple angles.
Apple also proposes using 3D imaging technology to track the movements of multiple viewers and the positions of their eyes so that the direction the image is deflected by the screen can be subtly adjusted to ensure the picture remains sharp and in 3D.
“If Apple cracks the technology, it could help make 3D the dominant display technology. It certainly does away with the biggest problem – the 3D glasses.”
