Nokia C7, a smartphone for the design-conscious social network people has officially started shipping to customers around the world and expected to arrive soon in India . It is second Nokia smartphone based on the new Symbian 3 platform, the Nokia C7 follows hot on the heels of the company’s entertainment powerhouse, the Nokia N8. It is available in 3 colours Charcoal Black, Frosty Metal, Mahogany Brown .
The Nokia C7 combines stainless steel and glass in a sleek, full-touch design. The 3.5 inch AMOLED display is ideal for networking, with updates from Facebook and Twitter fed directly to the home screen, as well as one touch access to many popular email accounts including Ovi Mail, Yahoo!® Mail and Windows Live(TM) Hotmail. The Nokia C7 also opens up a world of apps, games, videos, and web and location-based services through the Ovi Store.
“The Nokia C7 is our second smartphone based on the new version of Symbian to hit the market,” says Jo Harlow, head of smartphones at Nokia. “Designed specifically with the style-conscious consumer in mind, the Nokia C7 also brings excellent social networking abilities, making it perfect for people who want to check-in and stay up to date.”
Following the release of this social-networking centric device, Nokia will be setting out to find the most active Facebook user from the more than 1.4 million fans on Nokia’s own global Facebook page. Nokia will then pick five finalists who will each be provided with a Nokia C7 to organize a party using various social networks. The fan who best captures their party through Facebook – generating the most coverage with updates and posts – will win a Nokia C7 for themselves and 20 of their friends.
As for features, the Nokia C7 is not all that shabby. The device comes sporting a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS (with OVI Maps Navigation), 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.FM Radio, FM Transmitter, social networking integration in the form of Facebook and Twitter and access to the Ovi Store.
The estimated retail price of the Nokia C7 is EUR 335 before applicable taxes or subsidies, with pricing and availability varying from region to region, operator to operator. Most probably Nokia C7 Price in India would be something around Rs. 18,000

India completed their first ever series whitewash of Australia as Sachin Tendulkar led them to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over the visitors in the second and final cricket Test here today.
Tendulkar (53 not out) added a half century to his first innings double ton and capitalised on the foundation laid by debutant Cheteshwar Pujara (72) as India easily surpassed the target of 207 in the final session of the last day here.
Tendulkar hit the winning runs, a two, off Nathan Hauritz half-an-hour into the final session to trigger wild celebrations at the Indian camp and among the Chinnaswamy Stadium crowd.
Rahul Dravid remained unbeaten on 21 and shared 61 runs with Tendulkar from 16 overs for the unbroken fourth wicket.
With the back-to-back victories, having won the first Test at Mohali by a narrow one wicket, India took the two-match series 2-0 though the Border-Gavaskar Trophy had already been in their bag.
With a crushing 2-0 series win, India on Wednesday not only consolidated its position at the top of ICC Test ranking table but also pushed Australia down to number five.
