Nanban which created a lot of buzz in the tinsel town has now come out with the first look picture. Here’s a first look of the lead stars Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth.

The first look was revealed in papers today and director Shankar was very particular about the first look and took a lot of care of not having any similarities to the original version of 3 Idiots. In fact Shankar has changed the concept made by Raju Hirani, where the three idiots sitting on a potty ad. Instead Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth are seen smiling with white lip gloss and also strange looking shades. The only lift by Shankar from the original version is the tag line: “All is well”.

Nanban stars Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, SJ Suryah and Ileana.

Nanban is scheduled for Diwali release and the music by Harris Jayraj is expected in the month of September.

Well known that Director Shankar is directing the remake of the Hindi movie ‘3 Idiots’ in Tamil . The shooting has been started 27th January 2011 and is moving on a faster pace. The official shooting has started today in Ooty. Jeeva and Srikanth are part of this initial shots. The director, Shankar has planned to complete the scenes that has these two actors by the end of February. Surya will be joining this team by March 1st, 2011. He is playing the role of Aamir Khan, while Jeeva and Srikanth are playing the other two roles of Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. Ileana is to pair with Surya in this movie. Sathya Raj is playing the role of a professor, which was played by Bomman Irani in the original Hindi version of ‘3 Idiots’.

Produced on the celebrated banner of Sun Pictures , directed by imaginative Director Shankar with All Over World Super Star Rajanikanth as hero and beauty queen Aishwarya rai as heroine, the big budget Scientific message-oriented film ‘Endhiran the Robot’ had successfully completed 100 days in 200 theatres across the world.

The Endhiran Movie was released on October 1st with 2250 prints in worldwide, along with its dubbed versions: Robot in Hindi and Robo in Telugu. The film was released more than 500 theatres in Tamil Nadu alone and it completed 100 days in 175 theatres, particularly Endhiran Movie completed 100 days in 15 theatres in Chennai.

Even today there was about 80 to 90 percent collection on normal days and houseful collections during the weekends. The film’s story revolves around a scientist’s struggle to control his creation, an android robot whose program was upgraded to give it the ability to comprehend and generate human emotions.

The film’s background score and soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. Srinivasan VFX and Peter Haynes’ action choreography also helped in the success of the movie. Endhiran (Robot in Hindi) has broken all previous box-office records for the opening weekend for any film in India.

Music director Harris Jayraj was felicitated by Laya media on Sunday (26th Dec 2010) held in Chennai. Films stars, directors, singers and top guns of Kollywood were present at the event. The celebrities who were spotted at the event are Director Shankar, Murugadoss, Gautham Menon, Suriya, Karthi, Prabhu Deva , Charu Hassan, Sathyaraj and Vinay.

Directors like Shankar, Gautham Menon and AR Murgadoss who had churned out many hits with him were present on the occasion.

Gautham said at the function: “He has given me 30 songs, and I admire his acumen in slotting the songs according to the situation.”

Added Shankar: “He is one of the few music directors who dared to experiment within the format. He is hard working at the same time choosy.”

All leading singers like Harish Raghavendra, Mahati, Saindavi, Naresh Iyer and Krish sang their hit numbers with composer.
