Hyundai’s Santa Fe will be an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) priced around Rs. 24 Lakh and is expected to be launched in October, which is about the same time as the festive season in India.
The powerful SUV doubles as a family car with a seven seats. More or less, it is a revamped model of the previous Terracon and other SUV models of Hyundai. It will be generally powered by a 2.2 Liter diesel engine, which works well with Indian conditions.
The Korean company plans to import these cars initially into India, as ready to go units, and looking at the response will start the manufacture in India too.
