Google Inc. Google chief executive, Eric Schmidt is planning to launch its Google TV platform globally next year that aims to bring the television and the Internet together.
Google conducted a demonstration of its Google TV platform at the IFA technology trade fair in Berlin. It showcased the TV with a search bar at the top of the screen that allows the users search and surf the Internet as well as search live TV listings.
The company says it is under process of bringing entertainment options to Google TV. It also plans to launch support for Android mobile applications on the TV next year. The company also claimed that it would be possible for the users to change the channel using their voice through Google speech recognition technology.
Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said, “The Internet is creating a great Internet disruption and that disruption is changing so many things.”
